Chocolate Breakfast Waffles

Schokoladige Frühstückswaffeln

Our guest blogger Bika placed our new variety among her absolute favourites when she tried it for the first time. Not surprisingly, she immediately had a thousand ideas in her head about what she could conjure up with fine cocoa. One of her first ideas: delicious chocolate breakfast waffles! Since there are oat flakes in the dough, they keep you full for a long time and taste super delicious and chocolaty. Mmmhmmm...

Makes 6 chocolate Breakfast Waffles

Preparation time: 10 minutes | Baking time: 15 minutes

  • 100g soft butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 100g flour
  • 50g 3Bears Fine Cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 l buttermilk
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 100g sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking cocoa

  1. Preheat the waffle iron.
  2. Put all the ingredients in a bowl. Optionally, puree the oat flakes beforehand so that they are very fine and the dough is smoother.
  3. Stir vigorously with a hand mixer until all lumps are gone.
  4. Bake the waffles in the waffle iron. Because of the butter in the batter, the waffle iron doesn't even need to be greased.

Another little tip from Bika: the waffles taste great with fresh strawberries and are perfect for the summer.
