Our extremely strong BEAR garlic waffles

Unsere bärenstarken BÄRlauch-Waffeln

Today is Maundy Thursday and we have a completely green breakfast for you as inspiration. We are huge waffle fans and love to prepare them in all sorts of variations - we also really like savory waffles.

In keeping with the theme, our guest blogger used wild garlic for the green color of the waffles - you just have to stay true to the bear family. Since the waffles weren't green enough despite the wild garlic used and there was still a lot of wild garlic left, a spread was quickly conjured up from the rest. This also tastes fabulous as a spread or vegetable dip. Porridge wild garlic waffle recipe

Ingredients | For 5 waffles

  • 50g 3Bears Porridge A hearty classic
  • 100g soft butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 75g whole wheat flour
  • 75g wholemeal spelled flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 150ml buttermilk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 20g wild garlic

Preparation | Ready in just 30 minutes

  1. Cut the onions and wild garlic into small pieces.
  2. Put all the ingredients together in a bowl and mix with a hand mixer.
  3. For a particularly smooth and, above all, green dough, puree everything thoroughly again. This means that the green color of the wild garlic is distributed throughout the dough.
  4. Prepare the waffles in a waffle iron.
