Christmas cinnamon rolls made from oat flakes

Zimtschnecken von 3Bears

It's very Christmassy in the Bear Cave! And what is more festive than our apple cinnamon porridge? Combined with fresh apples and yeast dough, you can easily create beautiful, fragrant cinnamon rolls that will get everyone in the Christmas spirit.

Together with Foodboom we developed and filmed this cinnamon roll recipe, take a look at it and try it out yourself at home! And combined with a warming tea or hot chocolate, they taste three times as good.

Preparation time: approx. 30 minutes | Baking time: approx. 25 minutes

Ingredients | 2 servings

  • 200g 3Bears Porridge Cinnamon Apple
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 apples (e.g. Braeburn)
  • 1 yeast dough, fresh (refrigerated shelf)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Utensils: oven, stove, pot, board, knife, brush, baking tray, baking paper

preparation

  1. Preheat the oven (top/bottom heat: 200 °C/fan oven: 175 °C). Slowly melt butter with cinnamon and sugar in a saucepan. Wash, dry, core and cut the apples into fine cubes with the peel on.
  2. Roll out the yeast dough on a floured surface and brush generously with the butter mixture. Spread the apple cubes and half of the porridge on top and roll up the dough from the short side. Brush the rolling pin with the remaining butter and roll in the remaining porridge.
  3. Then cut the rolling pin into 12 equal pieces and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake the cinnamon rolls on the middle rack for about 15 minutes. Then let it cool and dust with powdered sugar.

Tip: You can also use jam instead of the butter mixture. Simply warm it up slightly and brush the rolling pin with it before baking.

We also made a film of this quick and easy recipe with our great partners at FoodBoom - take a look!

Danke!
