Our guest blogger Bika placed our new variety among her absolute favourites when she tried it for the first time. Not surprisingly, she immediately had a thousand ideas in her head about what she could conjure up with fine cocoa. One of her first ideas: delicious chocolate breakfast waffles! Since there are oat flakes in the dough, they keep you full for a long time and taste super delicious and chocolaty. Mmmhmmm...
Makes 6 chocolate Breakfast Waffles
Preparation time: 10 minutes | Baking time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 100g soft butter
- 2 eggs
- 100g flour
- 50g 3Bears Fine Cocoa
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/8 l buttermilk
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 100g sugar
- 1 tbsp baking cocoa
Preparation
- Preheat the waffle iron.
- Put all the ingredients in a bowl. Optionally, puree the oat flakes beforehand so that they are very fine and the dough is smoother.
- Stir vigorously with a hand mixer until all lumps are gone.
- Bake the waffles in the waffle iron. Because of the butter in the batter, the waffle iron doesn't even need to be greased.
Another little tip from Bika: the waffles taste great with fresh strawberries and are perfect for the summer.
